I am married to an amazing and Christ-centered man, Brett, and we celebrated 7 years of marriage this year. I may have a Florida drivers license (Brett is from Florida - Read our story of how we met here), but I was born and raised in Texas and definitely have that southern hospitality spirit. Though most Texans have a pride as big as the state itself, we both enjoy traveling and visiting other states! We always plan at least one vacation every year.
Although we love serving together, like teaching our young married life group together, you will never see Brett at your engagement session or wedding (he was not given that talent, trust me!), but he plays a huge part in who I am as a photographer. He never fails to make me laugh everyday and he has been a constant support and encourager throughout my 8 years as a photographer.
Throughout our marriage I’ve come to learn the importance of marriage and how much you have to work together. During the chaos of wedding planning, remember to look at the bigger picture. Why are you planning this wedding? I think it is vital to know that marriage was designed and instituted by God Himself.
All my friends say I am a listener when it comes to friendships. I am constantly listening to all their stories, life tribulations, or current joys in life. My caring and compassionate personality translates to my clients in the same way. I’m all about connecting with my clients and becoming best friends throughout the wedding planning process and even after the wedding day. As your photographer, we will work together more than any other vendor before and on the wedding day so it is important for us to connect with each other.
